Description
Ages: 8 and up
Grades: 3rd and up
Speech Corner’s Donut Dilemma—What Do You Mean? is a set of 50 language development cards to support growth in understanding abstract and figurative language. The cards illustrate the four distinct donut types used in this game. Each donut type focuses on one of the following skills:
• stating the meaning of the figurative expression
• relating the abstract language to your own life
• completing a sentence with abstract language
• answering an if/then question logically
Students answer questions as they work together to stack a tower of donuts. They take turns rolling the die, answering questions, and adding donuts to the cup as they solve dilemmas. All players need to be careful because the wobbly saucer makes it a true balancing feat!
Sold separately is the original Donut Dilemma—What Would You Do? (#SC-1100). This game (which is sold separately) is needed for the donuts, wobbly saucer, cup, tongs, and die.
Includes: 50 content cards
