Speech Corner’s Donut Dilemma—What Happens Next? is a set of 50 language development cards to support growth in determining inferences and making logical predictions in everyday social settings. These cards help students deduce the meaning of body language, facial expressions, people’s feelings, and their intentions as they interpret key information from the picture.
Using this activity promotes the students’ ability to predict what will logically happen next by using inferencing skills. Targeted areas include:
• determining the events
• inferring emotions
• inferring thoughts
• predicting logical conclusions
Students answer questions as they work together to stack a tower of donuts. They take turns rolling the die, answering questions, and adding donuts to the cup as they solve dilemmas. All players need to be careful because the wobbly saucer makes it a true balancing feat!
Sold separately is the original Donut Dilemma—What Would You Do? (#SC-1100). This game (which is sold separately) is needed for the donuts, wobbly saucer, cup, tongs, and die.
Includes: 50 content cards
