In this book, students are asked to make inferences about what is happening in the wonderful pictures drawn by Linda Comerford. Each sentence page poses a what or where question and then answers it. An example is: “What did she bake?” “She baked the cookies.” Each page ends with the question “why?” If a student truly understands what’s happened in each picture, he can give an appropriate answer to the question “why?”
